In continuation of the meetings of the Sudanese government delegation visiting Europe, headed by the Sudanese Commissioner General of Humanitarian Aid, Ms. Salwa Adam Benia, and includes the Undersecretary of the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Al-Amin, and officials of the Humanitarian Aid Commission, the delegation held a meeting yesterday evening at the premises of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs with Mr. Pierre Salnion, Director of the Humanitarian Operations Center at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Center for Humanitarian Operations is one of the largest institutions that provide support to international French organizations working in the humanitarian field in different parts of the world and in addition to mobilizing and directing support to conflict places, Mr. Pierre welcomed the delegation of Sudan and the Sudanese people neighborhood and stressed the center's interest in what is happening in Sudan, stressing that this meeting is dedicated to discussing the technical aspects of the humanitarian situation in Sudan. Pierre reviewed the efforts and interventions carried out by the center through humanitarian partners from French organizations to help Sudanese refugees in neighboring countries. For her part, Ms. Salwa Adam, Commissioner General of Sudanese Humanitarian Aid, thanked the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Humanitarian Operations Center, and gave a full briefing on the humanitarian situation in Sudan, denying the existence of famine in Sudan, as claimed by some circles, due to the lack of its basic elements, but stressing that there is a systematic starvation policy practiced by the militia represented in targeting humanitarian aid convoys, attacking them and changing their destination, in addition to damaging the agricultural season and destroying crops and oilseeds. And the siege imposed on the city of El Fasher and some other cities of Sudan by the militia, stressing Sudan's real need for reconstruction projects that were destroyed by the war, especially after securing the liberated areas, which brought about a large return of the displaced to their areas and this requires projects to earn a living and provide agricultural inputs, and the Commissioner-General stressed that the duty of the Government of Sudan is to protect and safety of foreign and Sudanese humanitarian workers. At the end of her speech, the Commissioner-General thanked the Humanitarian Operations Center and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs for inviting and listening to the vision of the Sudanese government. In the same context, the delegation met yesterday evening in Paris with the Director of Humanitarian Affairs at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sevin Tali, accompanied by Mrs. Ellen, responsible for the humanitarian file for Sudan at the Norwegian Foreign Ministry. Mr. Seveen affirmed his country's commitment to providing humanitarian aid to all areas of need in the world, while respecting the basic principles governing humanitarian work, stressing his country's commitment to preserving Sudan's unity and territorial integrity, and stressed his country's readiness to conduct a transparent dialogue on the best way to deliver humanitarian aid to the Sudanese affected by the war. The Commissioner-General of the Sudanese Humanitarian Aid, head of the Sudanese delegation, welcomed the Norwegian Foreign Ministry, and praised the direct dialogue that leads to common results and denominators, stressing the closure of dialogue channels and the absence of correct information leads to incorrect conclusions about the nature of what is happening in Sudan. She reviewed the roles played by institutions related to humanitarian work in Sudan from facilitating procedures, granting visas, movement permits, customs tax exemptions, financial obligations and others, and at the end of her speech, she called on all international organizations and all humanitarian actors working in Sudan to abide by the mandate granted to them and adhere to the controls and guidelines of humanitarian work governing Sudan, and noted that some organizations exceeded their mandate granted to them
